INTEL MICRO COMPUTER SYSTEM COLLECTION

When Intel introduced its first Single Board Computer in 1976, many
expansions boards, peripherals and equipments where produced.
Into the professional / Industrial domain or for home computing it was possible to built various micro computer system configurations.


 80/20 Configuration (1978)

Into this complete 80/20 configuration there are 7 elements :

- Intel iSBC 80/20 (the "motherboard")
- Intel iSBC 116 expansion board (Combination with RAM and I/O)
- Intel iSBC 204 (Universal Floppy Disk Controller)
- Intel iSBC 416 (16k EPROM/ROM Expansion Card)
- Intel iSBC 604 (Backplane/CardCage)
- Intel iSBC 635 (Power Supply)
- Intel 80/20-4 Sytem Chassis

The 80-20-4 Chassis is a very rareful item. It was the last Intel Chassis designed for a specific iSBC Card before the introduction of generic chassis like the iSBC 655 and MDS 210, MDS 230, etc... Intel introduced in april 1977 a first 80/20 system package. This one is the second package produced during few months in 1978 and designed for the latest version of 80/20 card, the iSBC 80/20-4.
This one is the Central Unit N°758.
